  Miriam Ibrahim to be freed soon after Sudanese court orders release

According to Sudan's SUNA news agency, Meriam Ibrahim, the Sudanese woman sentenced to death for refusing to abandon her christian faith is to be released soon. The state media today announced that the appeal court has ruled that she be immediately freed and all charges against her dropped.
"The appeal court ordered the release of Mariam Yahya and the cancellation of the (previous) court ruling," Sudan's SUNA news agency said.
One of her lawyers, Elshareef Ali Mohammed, who expressed doubt over the announcement said he was on his way to the prison to know if it was true. Continue...
